Good morning.
Yesterday we were reminded that it is so easy to become distracted by the voices around us.
Because of our relationship with Him we are able to hear the Father speak to us. Yet we fall into the trap of hearing but not acting on what we have heard.
Jesus put it this way. "The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful." (Matthew 13:22)
This can be true of us. We are caught up with the worries of this life. We wonder how we will get through the rest of the month, the week, the day. We end up working longer hours to make ends meet. We get so busy that we forget what the Father is saying to us.
Let us not get so caught up in the business of life that we spend less and less time with Him. "How?", you may ask.
Over the years we have found that we need to prioritize daily time with God, to read the Word and speak to Him and to listen for His voice. What we prioritize, we will make time to do.
Enjoy the freedom that comes from spending time with Him.
