Good morning.
On waking up this morning, I was once again confronted with the questions, "What is my view of God?" "Do I really believe that He can do more than I can hope for or imagine?"
Reflecting on these questions we are reminded of God's greatness by Jeremiah, the prophet when he declared, "Ah, Sovereign Lord , you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." (Jeremiah 32:17)
Our prayers reflect what we believe about God. With this in mind, when we pray we should be praying God-sized prayers i.e. our expectations should not limit what we trust God for.
Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matthew 21:21-22)
As we go into today let the words spoken to Gideon be real for you. “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” (Judges 6:12)
Blessings.
