Good morning.
Yesterday we experienced God moving during our worship and the preaching of the Word. The presence of Holy Spirit was very evident.
We should not be surprised. After all we came to worship our awesome God. And when God's people enter His presence and worship Him from deep within their hearts, God responds by pouring more grace upon upon His people.
That is what happened on the day of Pentecost. The disciples were together in a room and were filled with Holy Spirit. As a result 3000 people were saved and the Church was born.
The Church in Acts experienced God's grace and their lives were irrevocably changed. "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common." (Acts 2:42-44)
Priorities changed and out of a devotion to God, they drank in the Apostles teaching, hung out together, breaking bread and praying. The result was group of Christians doing what the Church does - they cared for each other.
When a Church draws closer and closer to God, His grace and love becomes evident and spills over to the world.
We, the Church, can make a difference to the world around us. Let's do it.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
