Genesis 15 vs 6: Abraham believed God and He credited it to Him as righteousness. I have really been feeling the Lord say that we need to trust Him in every trial that we face, daily, whether big or small. It is through trusting Him that we will gain the victory. If we look at Abrahams life as an example, he faced many trials, but it was the ones where he trusted God that he gained victory and grew closer to God. In the trials where he relied on his own strength is where he created more hardships for himself. Abraham never lived a perfect life, but the moments of faith that he had, God credited to him as righteousness. What a gracious God we serve! He is willing, through Jesus, to overlook the worng we have done and credit to us the faith we have had as righteousness. Trusting God is a daily intentional process we follow, like punching in coordinates into a GPS, every time we face a trial we make the decision to trust him through it. The good thing is, we will have victory if we do, we will grow closer to God, as Abraham did and we will be strengthened as people! Like it says in 1 Peter 1:6-7: In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
