Good morning.

"I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance.... You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary."

(Revelation 2:2‭-3)

We are reminded time and time again in scripture that our actions should speak louder than words.

Jesus demonstrated what service is when He walked here on earth. He said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34‭-‬35)

It is so easy to fall into the trap of allowing our service to become "the" thing, that we lose sight of who we are doing it for and why.

Our service must always be motivated by our love for Him and and the desire to let His love shine through our service. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

(Matthew 5:16)

One af the dangers of being consumed by serving, is that service is given a higher priority than love for God as was the case with the church in Ephesus. "Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first." (Revelation 2:4)

As we go about serving others today, let's do so motivated by our love for Him.

Blessings.

Good morning. David writing in Psalm 43:5 asks, "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?" He then gives us good advice, "Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior
