Who is Grace Cov Church?

We are a vibrant, colourful, diverse, dedicated, growing church of friends who are:  passionate about God, committed to each other, excited by His call to go to our neighbourhoods and the nations, who desire to love, challenge and change our world.

We want to do life together, enjoy the journey and make a difference in Centurion and beyond. Life has got to be about more than just fighting the traffic daily and paying the bills.

We want to live lives that count, with people who matter to us, serving a God who loves us.

Our Story

In November 1996, Mike and Daphne Cowie felt God was calling them to plant a church in Lyttelton, Centurion.  During January 1997 a team of like-minded people began to connect with Mike and Daphne weekly to pray for the new church.

The church  was officially planted in February 1997 and met in various locations in Lyttelton until the church members were able to purchase land and build a building at our current premises at 145 Glover Avenue, Centurion. The first meeting held in our own building was on the 19th December 2004.  Since then more buildings, play areas and car parks have been added, making this a warm and family friendly place to meet.

Mike and Daphne handed over the leadership of Grace Cov Church to Craig and Colette Meyer in February 2011 and they led the church for over 13 years.  In October 2024, they moved to Paris, France to join La Cité Church and work together with NCMI into Europe.  Craig and Colette transitioned the leadership of Grace Cov Church to â€‹Ian and Leeann Oliver.

We partner with a group of churches around the world, led by New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI).

We exist to know Jesus Christ

and make Him known

The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”

— a complete life full of purpose (John 10:10).

Jesus loves YOU

and has a PLAN for you!
