Good morning.
The weekend brings different feelings to different people. Some may look forward to relaxing in peace and quiet, or time to enjoying time out with family or friends. Others may be dreading spending 2 days of loneliness, wanting to get back to work on Monday so that they will have someone to talk to.
God is with us no matter our circumstances or feelings.
David, the psalmist put it this way: "If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast."
(Psalms 139:8-10)
This brings comfort to followers of Christ, whatever our weekend has in store for us, especially to those who struggle with loneliness and deep sorrow. In a very real way, God is always near us, closer than our thoughts. The knowledge that we are never alone calms the troubled sea of our lives and speaks peace to our soul.
With this in mind, have a good weekend with Him.
