Good morning.
The presence of God brings with it a sense of God's majesty. It is also true that in His presence we are reminded of our own condition. It is important to note that His presence does not bring condemnation.
We need to understand the difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation brings with it feelings of guilt. Conviction comes through Holy Spirit highlighting our sinful condition. Conviction usually leads to repentance - to remove any obstruction preventing us from experiencing the fullness of God's presence.
The song popularized decades ago by "The Gaither Vocal Band" sums up what takes place when we respond to conviction.
"Shackled by a heavy burden
'Neath a load of guilt and shame
Then the hand of Jesus touched me
And now I am no longer the same
He touched me, oh, He touched me
And oh, the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened, and now I know
He touched me, and made me whole
Since I've met this blessed Savior
Since He's cleansed and made me whole
Oh, I will never cease to praise Him (to praise Him)
I'll shout it while eternity rolls
Oh He touched me, oh He touched me, He touched me
And oh, the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole"
Have a lovely day following His prompting.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
