Good morning to you on this day of celebration.
You may well ask what are we celebrating?
Today I celebrate God's amazing, relentless faithfulness. Today, 54 years ago God drew me into His arms and saved me. He set His seal, Holy Sprit, on me according to Ephesians 4:30 which says, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
That moment in my life confirmed what God said about me in Jeremiah 1:5 - “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;
Notwithstanding my times of lukewarmness, God has demonstrated His faithfulness. Daily I experience His love, grace, mercy, goodness, blessing and salvation. The words of the great hymn say it all.
"Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be"
"Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me"
I thank God for the assurance that my friend Paul brings when he writes: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)
Have a wonderful day as together we celebrate His faithfulness.
Blessings.
