Good morning.
Living as a follower of Christ in 2021means living a countercultural life. So much of what we do and how we do it cuts right across society's norms.
"I'll get you back!", says the world. Christ says, "Forgive." The world asks, "What's in it for Me?" The Christian asks, "How can I assist?"
Paul says to us, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:1-2)
To live a countercultural life, the follower of Christ, constantly needs to have his/her mind renewed. This happens when we daily present ourselves as a sacrifice to God so that He can use us to live for Him.
"let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
