Good morning.
Yesterday South Africa celebrated Freedom Day. There is more to freedom than casting off restraint.
Nelson Mandela said, "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."
When we forgive we release freedom - more so to ourselves than to others.
Paul put it this way: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." (Colossians 3:13)
"For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 3:8)
Have a good day living in the freedom of forgiveness.
Blessings.
