Good morning.
Since the love of God is key to the effective outworking of the gifts of the Spirit, I (Mike) thought it would be good to look at this overehming, never ending love of God.
Thinking about God's love, one of the verses of the hymn by Frederick Martin Lehman, puts it like this.
"Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky"
"O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints' and angels' song"
Or as the song by Jesus Culture says,
"Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains, yes, one thing remains"
"Your love never fails
It never gives up
It never runs out on me"
"Because on and on, and on, and on it goes
Before it overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never, ever, have to be afraid
One thing remains, yes, one thing remains"
"Your love never fails
It never gives up
It never runs out on me"
This is the love of our Father for us. His love is like the waves in the sea which keep rolling in. It is never ending.
Have a good day reveling in God's love.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
