Good morning on this rather chilly morning.
"We love because he first loved us."
(1 John 4:19)
"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." (1 John 4:9-10)
Aren't you pleased that before we knew Him, He loved us. When we grasp this, Romans 8:1-2 fills us with eternal gratitude.
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
Knowing this, we are lost for words when we read what Paul has to say about God's love.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)
The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell.
Blessings.
