Good morning.
Reading through Paul's letter to the Colossian church, we are struck by Paul's focus on Christ - His centrality to God's redemptive plan for mankind, His supremacy and His Deity.
Because of this, Paul has this to say. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:1-2)
Why?
"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority."
(Colossians 2:9-10)
As we head towards the weekend let's follow what Paul had to say: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:8-9)
