Good morning.
For the duration of the lockdown over the past 16 months we have all had time to wait on the Lord. Many of us have the same testimony as the psalmist who wrote, "I waited patiently for the Lord ; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God." (Psalm 40:1-3)
We have learned that we do not need to be busy for the Kingdom of God to continue to advance. Even in our time of lockdown He is at work. God desires our heart, more than our busyness.
"Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord ? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god." (Psalm 24:3-4)
As we take time to relax this week end, make time to sing the new song He put in your mouth, a hymn of praise to God. There is so much to be thankful for.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
