Good morning.
Thinking about the missionary couple working into Papua New Guinea and the difficulties they face in carrying out the mandate of the great commision, we are convinced that although we my face different difficulties here where God has placed us, we have the same mandate.
Isaiah puts it this way.
"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord ; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:1, 3-5)
What a privilege we have of carrying the message of God's mercy and grace to the world around us. A saying attributed to St. Francis of Assisi reads, “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.”
Have a good day.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
