Good morning.

Recently I (Mike) read about how God responds to us.

• When we pray - God listens

• When we listen- God talks

• When we believe - God works

When we stop and think about this, it helps us understand the importance of our relationship with God being bilateral. Too often the relationship between God and ourselves becomes one-sided. We tend to slip into thinking that we initiate the cause and effect i.e. God responds to us, to our prayers etc, as if He is at our beck and call.

Let us remind ourselves that God is sovereign. He is the one who initiated the relationship with us by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our stead, so that we may enter into the relationship He has planned to have with each of us.

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" (1 John 3:1)

We are all blessed to be chosen by God.

Have a wonderful day.
