Good morning.
As followers of Christ we can live better than what society defines as normal. For this to become real for us, we need to do what the writer to the Hebrews says: "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith…" (Hebrews 12:2)
We so easily become distracted and take our eyes off the ball. We find ourselves constantly distracted. Jesus puts it this way in the parable of the Sower. "The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful."
(Matthew 13:22)
Notwithstanding that Jesus is the way, the life and the truth, we tend to taking things into our own hands. By doing this we slip from "better than normal" back into normal.
As we fix our attention on the Lord, He can work in our lives and, as He works in our lives, He takes us from strength to strength.
Today, we focus on Author and Perfecter of our faith who leads us into living better than normal.
Blessings.
