Good morning.

"And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” (Exodus 33:17)

Each time I, Mike, read this verse I become quiet before God and wonder if He would say the same about me. Is He pleased with me? After all, there are some character traits that I have which I'm not proud of.

I remind myself that I am a child of God. "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ ..." (Romans 8:17) And, because "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:6), "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." (Ephesians 3:12)

The Father said to Jesus, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

(Mark 1:11) Because I'm His child I know that I am loved with an everlasting love and I imagine my Father saying, "you're the apple of my eye. I am pleased with you."

It is not about our sinful nature. It is all about being accepted by the Father because of what Christ has done; Him being in us and us being in Him. "God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

(Colossians 1:27)

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

(Romans 8:1)

Today as we worship Him, remember we have direct access to Him. He knows you by name.

Blessings.

Mike and Daphne
