Good morning.
I, Mike, am always challenged when I read how much Paul prayed for other followers of Christ.
In his letter to the Romans he says, "God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times." (Romans 1:9-10)
To the Corinthians he says, "I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus." (1 Corinthians 1:4 )
Writing the the Ephesian church Paul tells them, "I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."
(Ephesians 1:16)
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy" is what he says to the Philippians.
(Philippians 1:3-4)
When we look at Paul's prayers, we find thanksgiving and joy in them.
This week make time each day to pray for your family members, the folk in your Life Group and your work colleagues.
If you are unsure of what to pray for, pray the words of Paul: "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
(Philippians 1:9-11)
Have a super week.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
