Good morning.
Life is a mixture of pain and pleasure, victory and defeat, success and failure. There are days when we are on the mountain tops and some days we walk in the valleys.
Over the years we have come to know that valleys are:
• Inevitable - Jesus said, "In this word you will have troubles." (John 16:33)
• Unpredictable - We have noted how easily a good day can become a bad day.
• Impartial - no one is immune to them. " It rains on the righteous and the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:45)
• Temporary - Peter reminds us of this. "... though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials." (1 Peter 1:6)
• Purposeful - "These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith ... may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." (1 Peter1:7)
When we find ourselves in a valley:
• Refuse to be discouraged. How? By focusing on God's power rather than on the problem.
• Remember God is with us. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you" (Isaiah 43:2)
• Rely on God’s protection and guidance. "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." (Psalms 23:4)
Remember that there is a God in heaven. Lean into Him.
Blessings.
