Many folk suffer from constant anxiety and fear attacks. They wake up each day anxuous about finances, life's challenges in general, feeling trapped.
As we try to get out of the feeling of impending doom we can so easily let our relationship with God slip, perhaps even to the point of neglect. Notwithstanding this, God watches over us and is longing to spend time with us.
As we spend time with God we are inwardly strengthened. Anxiety, fear and depression will no longer be able to find a foothold in our thoughts. As Paul says, we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds as we present ourselves as a living sacrifice, that's our true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1-2)
May the prayer of Moses be our prayer. "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. (Psalm 90:14)
Let's commit, afresh, to spending time alone with God every day in an atmosphere of worship, surrendering ourselves to Him and receiving His love.
