Good morning.

Sarah and Abraham displayed their faith in God in different ways. Abraham displayed his faith through obedience. Sarah had to trust God and patiently wait on Him to fulfill His promise of a child.

Even when we face pain, there is always hope for the future with God. He promises in His word "that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) He promises a good future for us. "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." (Psalms 27:13)

While we wait for something that we really want, we learn to surrender to God. We also acknowledge that He is Sovereign and that His timing is always perfect. We can be encouraged by the fact that God kept his promises to Sarah. "Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him." (Genesis 21:1‭-‬2)

As we go about your day today, "Be still and know that He is God!" (Psalm 46:10)

Blessings.

Mike and Daphne
