Good morning and welcome to a new week; another day to allow God to shine through us.
There are days when the last thing we feel like doing is letting the world know that we are a follower of Christ. We feel like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. It feels like everything, everybody, the whole world is against us.
This is surely how Job felt when he said: "How long will you torment me and crush me with words? My relatives have gone away; my closest friends have forgotten me. All my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me."
(Job 19:2, 14, 19)
Notwithstanding this, he said, "I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes"
(Job 19:25-27)
For followers of Christ, the words of Andre Crouch's song "Through It All", say it all:
"I've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
there's been times I didn't know right from wrong.
But in every situation,
God gave me blessed consulation,
that my trials come to only make me strong.
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God."
Despite how we may be feeling about life at this point in time, let's keep our eyes clearly focused on our Redeemer.
Blessings.
