Good morning.

David had many reasons to live a worried life. He had all kinds of things come against him - people, armies, even his own family. He had many reasons to be worried, upset, and bitter.

Notwithstanding all this, he said, "The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock."

(Psalm 27:1,5)

We may be facing discouraging situations and difficulties, but when we place our faith, hope and trust in God, He places us in His shelter. We may feel like we’re surrounded by an army, but the truth is you’re surrounded by God’s favour.

What God said to Joshua holds true for us today: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

God’s got this. He’s done it in the past, and He’s not going to stop now.

Let's go into the new week living from a place of peace, knowing that we are safe in the palms of His hands.

Blessings.

Mike and Daphne
