Good morning.
"His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (2 Peter 1:3)
Peter understood what the promises of God hold for those who choose to believe. Peter knew there is nothing more valuable to our lifestyle than appropriating the truth of God’s promises to our everyday behavior.
Because of Jesus, I don’t have to wear my aunt’s temper or my grandfather’s propensity to criticize. I get to exhibit the divine nature.
Because of Calvary, I don’t have to be filled with shame over past sins or stay up all night worrying. Because of the Word of God, I don’t have to wonder what God’s will is or wander aimlessly through life. I am a "show-and-tell" of how to live life filled with God’s nature.
Paul tells us how we are able to do this. "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:25)
Each of us should determine for ourselves that keeping in step with Holy Spirit should become the norm for exhibiting a life that reflects God to those around us.
Enjoy the weekend.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
