Good morning.
We frequently hear the expression "Hold your plans lightly." This is wise advice.
Growing up we are told to study hard. We thought "if I just get this degree, I will get that job." You got the degree, but you did not get the job. You planned on being married by now, but you have not found Mr. or Mrs. Right.
Paul was in that same situation - circumstances he did not want and could not control. When he wrote to the Philippians he effectively said, “I had a plan, but God had a better plan!"
"Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear." (Philippians 1:12-14)
Paul effectively applied the "Reframe Principle". Reframe your mind, restore your perspective.
We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we frame it.
God is moving and I (Mike) can’t wait to see what He does next.
Enjoy your weekend.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
