Good morning.

2023 is truly upon us and as we put 2022 behind us we are faced with a head full of ambivalent thoughts. We are excited about what lies ahead ahead of us, while at the same time wondering how we are going to deal with all life will throw at us in the year ahead.

Paul reminds us: "Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold." (2 Corinthians 3:12) Being uncertain about the future, followers of Christ will frequently say, “My hope is in the Lord.” Of course it is, but it is not only a future hope. God is here, in the present, with comfort.

God is so much bigger than anything we will ever face. We don’t have to be strong enough, because He is. He is with us in every step of the way.

Allow Paul's words to remind you just how much He loves His followers.

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ"

(Ephesians 3:16‭-‬18)
