Good morning.
Sometimes in the middle of the mundane, between the spaces of work, routine, and family, we feel like we are in a spiritual desert. We struggle to hear God, to know He is near, and to experience His love.
But it’s often in these times of silence that the greatest miracles are taking place. Think about the Israelites wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. "Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet." (Deuteronomy 29:5) Not only had the Lord not forgotten them, He was intimately aware of and taking care of their spiritual and physical needs.
He walks with us in the desert. More than that, our Father cares for us, He knows our needs, and He will provide abundantly for us.
As followers of Christ we have this assurance: "... God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
Blessings.
