Good morning.
We need to look to Jesus as we endeavor to discover our purpose. The reason for this is stated by Paul in his address to the people of Athens. "For in him we live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28)
Picture the world as one big garment made up of millions of interlacing threads, our relationships with God, with ourselves, and with the rest of the world.
Looking around we see the garment in tatters. But in all of this God has a solution: "to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ." (Ephesians 1:10)
As followers of Christ, each of us are part of this solution. We are to do the good works (our purpose) prepared by God for each of us.
God's plan is not just the salvation of sinners, but also to bring wholeness to all things. As we interact with the world, our part in God's plan is to bring His comfort, peace, joy and love.
By placing our lives in God's hands, we can have full assurance that He will make sure that we are in the right place at the right time to be part of the restoration of a broken world to all that God created it to be.
Today, let us each position ourselves to play our part, as co-workers, in His kingdom.
Have a good weekend.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
