Good morning.
Over the past 5 days we've zoomed in on character traits required to fulfill our purpose - whole-heartedness, integrity, skills, reliability and courage. There is however one essential ingredient that is required. One which strengthens each of these and thrusts us onwards and upwards within our purpose. Faith.
"And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies." (Hebrews 11:32-34)
Did you see it? The "wow" factor. "through faith ... whose weakness was turned to strength."
Faith is the "can do it" ingrediant needed when we feel we can't. Faith enables us to served God whole-heartedly. Faith is what helps us stand firm for what is right instead of taking the easy way out. Faith keeps us honing our skills. Faith keeps us steadfast in reliability. Faith is what gives us courage in the face of adversity. Faith keeps us focused on the end goal of our God-given purpose; to hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25:21)
Let's go out in faith and move forward knowing that by faith we can do it.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
