Good morning.
When Jesus was asked, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
(Matthew 22:36-39)
It's a about love. God wants us to have a really deep relationship with Him; a love relationship. And He wants us to share this love with those around us.
God loves you so much He wants to spend eternity with you. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
This awesome God - just imagine - He holds the universe in His hands, yet He is so loving and caring that He would count the hairs on our heads and wash His disciples feet. Loving us is a priority for Him.
The most important thing we can do is develop a loving relationship with the Lord, getting to know Emmanuel - God with us. "Christ in you, the hope of glory.
(Colossians 1:27)
We pray "that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
(Ephesians 3:17-19)
