Good morning.
This past weekend we have remembered the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, where He took our sin upon Himself when He died. We celebrated His resurrection, bringing the assurance of new life in Him.
So what now? Easter has come and gone. Life cannot merely continue as per normal.
Reading the Scriptures we see account after account of people's lives being irrevocably changed: the sick being healed, the lame jumping up - walking and leaping and praising God, communities turning to God, people being baptized in water and the unlikely (Gentiles) receiving the baptism of Holy Spirit. The Church was born and grew exponentially.
We now need to change focus from what Christ has done for us individually, to what He has called us individually to do. "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12)
Life cannot merely continue as per normal. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8)
You can do it. We can do it. Holy Spirit empowers us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
Let's do it. Together we can.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
