Good morning.
Despite our desire to see revival breaking out around us, we face days when revival seems like something that is impossible in our personal circumstances. How do we react when everything seems to be going wrong? The children are playing up; just heard retrenchment is on the cards; your spouse has been diagnosed with what the insurance industry calls a dreaded disease.
The words of the song "Raise a Hallelujah" give us a hint.
"I raise a hallelujah
In the presence of my enemies
I raise a hallelujah
Louder than the unbelief
I raise a hallelujah
My weapon is a melody
I raise a hallelujah
Heaven comes to fight for me
I'm gonna sing in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive"
Job has this to say: "Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face. Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance, for no godless person would dare come before him!" (Job 13:15-16)
David reminds us: "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." (Psalms 42:5)
He is with us all the way, in every situation. Look to Him.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
