Good morning.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." (Isaiah 60:1)
Light in Scripture is the emblem of joy. The joy followers of Christ have is this: Jesus chose us, loved us, bought us, cleansed us, robed us, kept us, glorified us. We are here entirely through the Lord Jesus.
Light is also the cause of beauty. No beauty is left when light is gone. Without light no radiance flashes from the diamond. All our beauty radiates from Jesus.
Light also means manifestation. Light manifests. Right now, we are not what we will be like when Christ receives His people into heaven. He will change us into the image of his manifested glory. "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face." (1 Corinthians 13:12)
All this proceeds from the exalted Lamb of God. Jesus will be the centre of it all. What glory it will be to see Him in His own light, the King of kings, and Lord of lords!
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."
Blessings.
