Good morning .
Have you observed people's reaction to darkness? From our earliest years the response to darkness is fear. Even now, as adults, there are those who are still afraid of the dark.
It is also interesting to see how the smallest display of light on a dark night catches our attention. Even in our homes, a minimal amount of light seems to bring calmness and reassurance when there is a power outage.
Those living without Christ in their lives are in darkness. Isaiah has this to say when Jesus Christ, the light of the world, comes into our lives: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned." (Isaiah 9:2)
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
As followers of Christ we have a part to play in our circle of influence. Jesus said, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
As we live our lives for Him, His light shines through us. "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day." (Proverbs 4:18)
Have a great day bringing His light to all you come in contact with.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
