Good morning.
Have you lost a loved one? Been deserted by a loved one? Been injured severely? In a financial bind? Sick? Dealing with loss? Have children who have gone in the wrong direction? What do you do when you feel alone? Abandoned? Forgotten by everyone — maybe even God?
There are so many difficulties and trials in this sin-sick world where we may feel deserted, alone, and forgotten.
In the last verse in Ezekiel, the Israelites are told, “And the name of the city from that time on will be: the Lord is there.” (Ezekiel 48:35) Israel was in captivity when Ezekiel told them "Jehovah-Shammah" - the Lord is There.
The writer to the Hebrews reminds us, "God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) We do not need to feel forsaken. God knows where you are. God is there. He is with you. In Him you have a hope and a future.
Jehovah-Shammah!
Enjoy your day and have a good weekend.
Blessings.
Mike and Daphne
