Good morning. The sun comes up It’s a new day dawning It’s time to sing Your song again Whatever may pass And whatever lies before me Let me be singing When the evening comes Bless the Lord O my soul O my soul Worship His Holy name Sing like never before O my soul I’ll worship Your Holy name You’re rich in love And You’re slow to anger Your name is great And Your heart is kind For all Your goodness I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons For my heart to find This morning my heart is bursting with love for my Saviour. He is absolutely awesome. The words of Matt Redman's song say it all. As I sit in God's presence this morning, I'm also reminded of the words of the chorus I learned shortly after being saved as a teenager, "Wonderful, wonderful, Jesus is to me, Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God is He, Saving me, keeping me, From all sin and shame, Wonderful is my Redeemer, Praise His name!" Have a wonderful Wednesday with our Lord and Saviour. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning to you. God's strategy flows out of His loving heart. He is the Father who sent His only begotten Son to die that we should not perish. He is the one who sent Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to make "God with man" possible after Jesus ascended to Him. History is the story of God's wooing invitation to come back to Him, to the original relationship and position that He had on mind when He created us in His image. His purpose has always been to have sons and daughters living in intimate relationship with Him. We are experiencing a freshness in our corporate worship. It is as if we are being drawn into His love. It is sweet. It is gentle. If this how we feel now, can you imagine what it will be like when we worship in His presence for eternity? Blessings. Good morning to you. What weekend at GraceCov! The ordination of an additional elder, good deposit from guys on the NCMI translocal team and amazing worship at both our Sunday meetings. The cherry on top was folk responding to the Word. One of the challenges for me (Mike) is not putting anything before God, even service within His Kingdom. It is so easy to fall into this trap. Jesus asks Peter 3 times, as He commissions Peter, "Do you love me?" This emphasises that Peter's love for Jesus is paramount. The significance is to love God first then serve. Loving God is more important than exercising my gift. Service must flow as a result if our love for God. The gift should flow as a result of our love for Him. "..........., do you love me more than these?" (Put your name in the space.) Have a good day. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. Reading the book of Psalms we can picture the intimate relationship between David and God. Intimacy with God is key to knowing Him. The overflow of intimacy with God will be to make Him known. This is why SM Lockeridge could could say: He's the key to knowledge He's the wellspring of wisdom. He's the doorway of deliverance. He's the pathway of peace. He's the roadway of righteousness He's the highway of holiness. He's the gateway of glory. Do you know Him? Well ... His life is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous And His yoke is easy. And His burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you. Yes ... He's indescribable! He's incomprehensible. He's invisible. He's irresistible. You can't get Him out of your mind. You can't get Him off of your hand. You can't outlive Him, and You can't live without Him. Well, the Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him. Pilot couldn't find any fault in Him. Herod couldn't kill Him. Death couldn't handle Him. And the grave couldn't hold Him. Yeah! That's my King. That's my King ... Jesus. Do you know Him? We're looking forward to worshipping this Jesus, together with you, this weekend. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. How are you today? God is so good. Here is more of what SM Lockeridge says in making much of Jesus. He's the greatest phenomenon That ever crossed the horizon of this world. He is God's Son. He's the sinner's Saviour. He's the centerpiece of civilization. He's unparalleled. He's unprecedented. He is the loftiest idea in literature. He's the highest personality in philosophy. He's the fundamental doctrine of true Theology. He's the only one qualified to be an all sufficient Saviour. I wonder if you know Him today? He supplies strength to the weak. He's available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and He saves. He strengthens and sustains. He guards and He guides. He heals the sick. He cleansed the lepers. He forgives sinners. He discharges debtors. He delivers the captive. He depends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate He regards the aged. He rewards the diligent and He beautifies the weak. I wonder if you know Him today? As we head to the weekend let's keep focused on Him and His commission to each of us. Make much of our King. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. "To know Him and to make Him known". This saying has become well known by those who attend GraceCov. We are to make much of Jesus, our Lord. Over the next few days I will post extracts from a sermon by SM Lockeridge, giving an incredible description of Jesus & the all important question. I trust that as you read this you will be stirred. My Bible says my King is The King of the Jews. He's The King of Israel. He's the King of righteousness. He's the King of the ages. He's the King of heaven. He's the King of glory. He's the King of kings, And the Lord of lords That's my King. I wonder, do you know Him? My King is a Sovereign King. No means of measure can define His limitless love. He's enduring strong. He's entirely sincere. He's eternally steadfast. He's immortally graceful. He's imperially powerful. He's impartially merciful. Do you know Him? Have a good day making much of Him. Blessings. Good morning to you. Often we find ourselves calling on God to move in power. We read time and again in the Bible that God out of His love encourages us to be part of His team here on earth. It is an awesome thing to realize that the sovereign God, who could do all things by Himself, chooses to let people to be co-labourers with Him. In the past when God moved in revivals, He used ordinary people like us. Martin Luther, John Wesley, William Seymour, Duncan Campbell were co-labourers with God who were prepared to do their part. The title of Craig's message on Sunday sums it up for us - "Partners in the Gospel ". We are, together, on God's team. Enjoy working with God today. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. Who? What? Why? Where? When? Questions! Life is full of questions. It is important for us to understand the who, what, why, where and when. Frequently we find ourselves zooming in on the "what" with less attention given to the others. As followers of Christ it is important to see the • What - tends to focus on the result. Saved, healed, provided for etc. • Why - tends to focus on the reason. Loved, cared for, correction etc. • Where - focuses on locality. Can be anywhere, could be purposefully restrictive • When - generally speaks of timing, but could also imply behaviour. • Who - focuses on God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Many of us tend to focus mostly on the "what". This is good in the context of Thanksgiving. More important than the "what" is the "who". Too often we glide past God into the trap of speaking about what He has done or what we would like Him to do, rather than who He is. Today, let us take time to focus on the "who". Let's make much of Him in our conversations and in our praying. Have a good day filled with the "Who" in your life. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. We trust you had an enjoyable weekend. Can you identify with the psalmist who wrote: "Lord , you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." (Psalms 16:5‭-‬6) That is how it felt in our church meeting yesterday evening. We were moved out our comfort zone into a place of complete dependence on God when our lead elder, asked the musos to lead us as we trusted God to put a new song in our mouths. Totally unrehearsed, each muso mentioned a phrase. We as a congregation then picked up on this and started singing. The words went something like this: "God loves me so I will bow down and worship Him. He heals me I will bow down and worship Him He is my King and Lord I will bow down and worship Him" There was an amazing sense of God's presence as for a number of minutes we sang being led by Holy Spirit. Psalm 40:3 became a reality. "He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God." When we step back and allow God to lead us, His presence becomes almost tangible. Let's go into the new week with Psalm 98:1 as our battle cry. "Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him." Have a good start to a good week. Blessings Mike and Daphne

Good morning. "Open the eyes of my heart, Lord Open the eyes of my heart I want to see You I want to see You To see You high and lifted up Shinin' in the light of Your glory Pour out Your power and love As we sing holy, holy, holy Open the eyes of my heart, Lord Open the eyes of my heart I want to see You I want to see You To see You high and lifted up Shinin' in the light of Your glory Pour out Your power and love As we sing holy, holy, holy Holy, holy, holy We cry holy, holy, holy You are holy, holy, holy I want to see you Holy, holy, holy Holy, holy, holy You are holy, holy, holy I want to see you" These words by Michael W Smith echo our prayer for you this morning. Have a good day. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. The presence of God brings with it a sense of God's majesty. It is also true that in His presence we are reminded of our own condition. It is important to note that His presence does not bring condemnation. We need to understand the difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation brings with it feelings of guilt. Conviction comes through Holy Spirit highlighting our sinful condition. Conviction usually leads to repentance - to remove any obstruction preventing us from experiencing the fullness of God's presence. The song popularized decades ago by "The Gaither Vocal Band" sums up what takes place when we respond to conviction. "Shackled by a heavy burden 'Neath a load of guilt and shame Then the hand of Jesus touched me And now I am no longer the same He touched me, oh, He touched me And oh, the joy that floods my soul! Something happened, and now I know He touched me, and made me whole Since I've met this blessed Savior Since He's cleansed and made me whole Oh, I will never cease to praise Him (to praise Him) I'll shout it while eternity rolls Oh He touched me, oh He touched me, He touched me And oh, the joy that floods my soul! Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole" Have a lovely day following His prompting. Blessings. Mike and Daphne
