Good morning yo you on this, the 1st anniversary of the 1st confirmed case of Covid 19 in South Africa. That aside, we are looking forward to joining with other believers in worshipping our awesome God. Often we experience the glory of God in our corporate times of worship. Peter, James and John caught a glimpse of the glory of God when Jesus was transfigured. When God reveals His glory in our times of worship, it's like we are encircled within His presence. My (Mike) friend Paul reminds us that being in the presence of God leads to our transformation. "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18) God's glory, His presence, should bring more than a feeling of a wonderful worship. His presence should lead to us becoming more like Him. When that happens we begin to experience personal revival resulting in us desiring more of Him. That is why people cry out, "More, Lord." This coming Sunday come join us as we worship together on-site at 145 Glover. Have a good day. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. In 1 Kings 6, 7 and 8 we read of the building of the temple for the Lord. It would be where the people would come to worship God, the Lord of Hosts. We are told, "The priests then brought the ark of the Lord ’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim." "When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord . And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled his temple." (1 Kings 8:6,10-11) This is an amazing picture of what takes place when God is central to our worship. His presence can be so evident that we experience the glory of the Lord. When we join together to worship Him, may we have the conscious desire to experience the glory of the Lord. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning once again. There have been times God's presence has been almost tangible during our corporate times of worship. Can you imagine what it must have been like for the Israelites who could observe God's presence. "And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped ..." (Exodus 33:8-10) Moses, through relationship with God, discovered that God's presence made all the difference. "If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favour with you...” "The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here." (Exodus 33:13-15) Nothing has changed. God's presence is essential for us to worship in spirit and truth. Our prayer for today is that we will experience God's presence with us as we go about our lives as an act of worship. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning to you. Here we are, entering the 12th month of lockdown. We have been through ups and downs together. Notwithstanding the trials that we have gone through, God has remained the same. Even when our temperament has fluctuated, He has remained constant. Knowing this brings tremendous encouragement because He is who He says He is and He will do what He said He will do. With confidence we can do what Psalm 55:22 says: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." Be assured that with Him we can do it. Have a wonderful day. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. This morning we have an invitation for all who are ready to receive it. Jesus tells us all about it in the parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22:1-14 It is so important for us to prioritize our relationship with God so that when the invitation to the wedding feast of the Lamb comes we will be ready. John, recording in Revelation 19:7 says, "Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." Take the opportunity to join in worship today - online or on-site. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. The weekend brings different feelings to different people. Some may look forward to relaxing in peace and quiet, or time to enjoying time out with family or friends. Others may be dreading spending 2 days of loneliness, wanting to get back to work on Monday so that they will have someone to talk to. God is with us no matter our circumstances or feelings. David, the psalmist put it this way: "If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." (Psalms 139:8-10) This brings comfort to followers of Christ, whatever our weekend has in store for us, especially to those who struggle with loneliness and deep sorrow. In a very real way, God is always near us, closer than our thoughts. The knowledge that we are never alone calms the troubled sea of our lives and speaks peace to our soul. With this in mind, have a good weekend with Him. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. In his book "Holy Fire", Michael L Brown, writes a section on "Fit for God's use - The Portrait of the Servant of God". 1 of the qualities to look for is: • highly flammable - a pure heart is easily ignited. God Himself is a consuming fire. Those who live in His presence become like Him. The words of the song by Brian Doerksen, "Lord, light the fire again", sum it up for us. "Don't let our love grow cold I'm calling out Light the fire again Don't let our vision die I'm calling out Light the fire again" "You know our hearts, my deeds I'm calling out Light the fire again I need Your discipline I'm calling out Light the fire again" "I am here to buy gold Refined in the fire Naked and poor Wretched and blind I come Clothe me in white So I won't be ashamed Lord, light the fire again" Our prayer for today is "Lord, please light your fire in our lives again. May our lives burn brightly for you." Have a good day. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good morning. When we think of revival we think of crowds of people being convicted and turning to God, accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. People's lives are changed and their conversation changes and they make much of Jesus. Paul writes to the Colossians and does just that in chapter 1:15-20. What an awesome description Christ, our Lord. For us He is The Pearl of Great Price, the One for whom we willingly surrender all we have for the privilege of being called His child. What a Savior! God bless you as you allow Him to be magnified in and through you. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Hello everybody we trust you are well. In Isaiah 6 we are told that the seraphim called to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3) That God is holy means he is endlessly, always perfect. And his standard for us is perfection as well. “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect,” Jesus says in Matthew 5:48. That’s why we need Christ. Without Christ taking the place for us and dying for our sins, we would all fall short of God’s holy standard. Thankfully, as followers of Christ we will never have to experience God’s holy wrath. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, the penalty for our sins was paid and we were imputed (credited) with Christ’s righteousness. Now, when God looks on us, he sees Christ’s perfect holiness. It is only in this that we can hope to stand in the presence of the pure, perfect, Holy God. We have so much to be thankful for. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

Good day to you. We have, over the years, read about revival having taken place in different parts of the world - Hebrides, Wales, America, even in South Africa. Most of us pray for revival. We long to see God move in power. We desire to see the lost get saved. The question begs asking: "Am I prepared for revival to begin with me?" We readily respond in the affirmative. It would seem that revival comes when God's holiness breaks through. When this happens we become aware of our unholiness / sinfulness, as was the case with Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-7) Revival comes when we respond to His holiness, acknowledge / confess our sin before God, ask for forgiveness and worship Him in the beauty of holiness. Will you join us today in praying the words of David, " Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalms 51:9-10) Have a good day in God's presence, wherever you may find yourself. Blessings. Mike and Daphne
- RE:define - My witness. Craig Meyer
"What you do makes a difference. It is up to you to decide what difference you will make." At Grace Cov Church, on Sunday, 21-02-2021, Craig urges us to once again look at the mission of the church. Like Jesus, we need to SEE people and be ready to share the love of God with them in a way that meets them where they are.
- RE:define - My purpose. Craig Meyer
What am I created for? At times we are trying to figure out what our purpose is and how we can be useful in the Kingdom of God. At Grace Cov Church, on Sunday, 14-02-2021, Craig helps us identify areas where we can start looking for those answers.
