    Good morning. Jesus said to His disciples: "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever" (John 14:16) Most people know about the trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - but they are not clear on who Holy Spirit is. Holy Spirit is not just a power. He is a precious, caring, loving, wonderful person who is filled with a consuming passion: He wants to reveal Jesus to us in a greater more wonderful way. That is His heart. He wants us to be healed of life's hurts so that we can tell others what Jesus has done for us. He wants to empower us and fill us with more of His anointing, His power, His presence so that we can share the love of Jesus with a broken, hurting world and do it with powerful signs and wonders following. He brings the power that changes lives and introduces people powerfully and personally to Jesus. Holy Spirit's heart is to bring us into a deep, loving relationship with the triune God. We are invited to ask our Father for Holy Spirit. "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13) Remember NIKE's slogan.     Good morning. When Jesus was asked, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’" (Matthew 22:36‭-‬39) It's a about love. God wants us to have a really deep relationship with Him; a love relationship. And He wants us to share this love with those around us. God loves you so much He wants to spend eternity with you. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) This awesome God - just imagine - He holds the universe in His hands, yet He is so loving and caring that He would count the hairs on our heads and wash His disciples feet. Loving us is a priority for Him. The most important thing we can do is develop a loving relationship with the Lord, getting to know Emmanuel - God with us. "Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27) We pray "that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."     Good morning. Daphne and I have had the privilege of visiting many churches throughout the world. One year we planned a trip to the UK specifically to visit churches where the presence of Holy Spirit was evident. We had the privilege of witnessing God moving in the Church of England, Baptist, Vineyard, Elim and non-denominational churches. One thing that these churches had in common was Holy Spirit ushering in the presence of God. The Father heart of God was evident in all these churches. People queued for over an hour waiting to get into the meetings. They came expecting God's presence in the meeting. It reminded us of what Jesus said in the sermon on the mount. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." (Matthew 5:6) In Acts 5:12-16 we read of the apostles performing many signs and wonders with people being healed. "Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed. (Acts 5:16) Can this be what we should be experiencing when we meet together to worship our awesome God? God wants to pour out His Spirit in our meetings. "Your will be done, ln earth as it is on heaven." When we meet together expect a miracle. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

    Good morning. What is your expectation when we pray: "Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven"? After all, this should be the primary focus of all our prayers. When a follower of Christ prays according to God's will, faith is specific and focused. When we pray with this focus He "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20) The two main objectives of our prayers should be to worship God and to bring the reality of His Lordship (His Kingdom) to earth. We have all the power of heaven behind us. But it is our faith that connects heaven and earth. Faith takes what is available and makes it actual. Let's exercise our faith and bring the reality of heaven into our everyday circumstances.     Good morning. “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:9‭-‬10) When we look carefully at the model prayer, we see the two real priorities of prayer: • Intimacy with God expressed in worship. "Hallowed be your name " • To bring the Kingdom of God to earth. "Your kingdom come." To usher in His dominion over the needs of mankind. Worship is/should be our number one priority in our service of Him. He is enthroned on our praise. (Psalm 22:2) When we worship Him, God responds by bringing heaven to earth; we have an increased sense of His presence. When God's presence is manifest our faith is built up and we become increasingly ready to experience/witness the release of His miraculous power. God's will is brought to earth as it is in heaven. In all that we do, let's worship Him. Let our faith be built up for the miraculous move of our loving Father. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

    Good morning. Faith is not the absence of doubt; it is the presence of belief. In Mark 9 we have the account of Jesus healing the boy with the impure spirit. The boys father says to Jesus, " But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us. ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:22-23) One of the more common things people tell us when we're about to pray for their healing is, "I know God can do it." At best that is hope ... not faith. Faith knows He will. For the one who has faith, there is nothing impossible. Jesus said, “... all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27) So, if this is true, (which it is) imagine the exponential level of faith when we gather corporately. It is in that moment when a great opportunity us created for God to move miraculously in power. It is then that we see and experience "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) Corporate faith pulls on heaven in marvelous ways. His world becomes manifest all around us. He takes what is available and makes it actual. The question is, " Am I prepared to be part of move of great faith?" Thise who are surrendered to God can release the power of Heaven into any situation. Together we can do it. Blessings.     Good morning. I (Mike) took a book off if my bookshelf yesterday. The title is: "A Life Of Miracles". It is a compilation of 365 excerpts from the writings of Bill Johnson. As I flipped through some of the pages, some of the phrases really struck a chord with me. "Jesus became the model for all who would embrace the invitation to embrace the impossible in His name." The Bible instructs us to turn our attention towards the invisible. "For we live by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7) Faith has its anchor in the unseen realm. It lives from the invisible towards the visible. Imagine a situation where it is said, "They created far too great a miracle opportunity for God not to do something extraordinary." One of South Africa's top five banks has a slogan - "It can be!" This slogan could well have been written for the followers of Christ. Imagine what could happen if we invited all those we know that need of a healing miracle to our church service. Imagine what could happen if we made room for God to move. Imagine what could be if we got over our hesitancy. Many of us have thought that the ability to see into the spiritual realm is more the result of a special gift than the unused potential of every follower of Christ. Jesus expects His followers to see from the heart. Faith provides eyes for the heart. Let's make the most of every opportunity to create a miracle opportunity for God to do something extraordinary.     Good morning. Ecclesiastes 4:8 says: "There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. “For whom am I toiling,” he asked, “and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?” This too is meaningless— a miserable business!" This is a picture of so many of us. Too many folk live lives of exhaustion. We need margin. It’s crucial for healthy lives. We all have limitations - emotional, physical and time. So when the warning lights of fatigue and irritability come on, we need to be wise. "The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." (Proverbs 22:3) We need to stop and ask ourselves, "Why am I driven to overload my life?" When it comes to margin we each need to build in downtime. The best way to do this is to do what Jesus said. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 MSG) Blessings. Mike and Daphne

    Good morning. "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord , who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10) What is it about God's love that draws us to Him and shows us how to love others? • We are totally and completely accepted: "so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:7) • We are unconditionly loved: we cannot make God stop loving us, because His love isn't based on what we do, but on who He is. (Isaiah 54:10) • We are totally foregiven: Christ paid the price for our sin. "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1) • We are extremely valuable: the value of something lies in two things - who the owner is and what someone is willing to pay for it. "You were bought at a price." (1 Corinthians 7:23) When we remember that we are accepted, loved, forgiven, and valuable to God, we will be better equipped to love others. Blessings. Mike and Daphne

    Good morning. "There is a right time and a right way to do everything, but we know so little! None of us knows what is going to happen, and there is no one to tell us." (Ecclesiastes 8:6‭-‬7 GNT) Decisions and timing. We are a faced with determining the right timing for the decisions we have to make in our lives. Pastors.com recently shared some helpful steps to keep in mind when making decisions. • Take time to make the right decision. “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25). • Be quiet and listen to God’s Word. "I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws” (Psalm 119:59 NLT). • Enlist the prayers of others. "I urge you, friends, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love that the Spirit gives: join me in praying fervently to God for me." (Romans 15:30 GNT) • .Consider what you do best. “Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God” (1 Peter 4:10 GNT). • Seek the counsel of wise friends. "For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors." (Proverbs 11:14) As we apply these steps in decision making, trust God to reveal the right timing. Blessings.     Good morning. The amazing love of God. What can one say? The hymn penned by Frederick M. Lehman says it all. "The love of God is greater far Than tongue or pen can ever tell It goes beyond the highest star And reaches to the lowest hell" "Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made; were ev’ry stalk on earth a quill, and ev’ryone a scribe by trade; to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry; nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky" God's love is a gamechanger. Things can never be the same once we have experienced His love. Titus puts it like this: "But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us." (Titus 3:4‭) Please join us in meditating on this great love of God. "O Love, that wilt not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee; I give Thee back the life I owe, That in Thine ocean depths its flow May richer, fuller be." (George Matheson) Blessings.     Good morning. We live in a culture of demands and rights as was witnessed yesterday with the call for a national shutdown. Do you remember the account of Korah, Dathan and Abiram? (Numbers 16) They rebelled against Moses and Aaron, demanding that they should be treated equal to them. These guys were Levites, set apart for the service of God, yet they wanted more power. Their rebellion was a result of their lack of understanding of their calling and purpose. Consequently they felt inferior and felt it was their right to be seen to be equal to Moses and Aaron. When we fully grasp the magnitude of God's grace, of what He has actually done for us, then we will identify with Isaiah when he wrote: "But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." (Isaiah 43:1‭-‬3) God has done it all through His Son, Jesus Christ. Understanding this leads to laying down our rights and surrendering to His will for us. Then we will with the psalmist declare: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
